Four salesmen in a real estate office are given an ultimatim: they will get good leads when they prove they are good salesmen. So without the good leads they need, Shelley Levene (Jack Lemmon), Dave Moss (Ed Harris), Ricky Romo (Al Pacino) And George Aaronow (Alan Arkin) are set up to fail. And one of them is promised to be fired. So they begin to conspire to break into the office and get the leads and sell them to their competitor. Someone does break in a get the leads, but they all turn on each other trying to figure out who stole them for himself, leaving the rest to desperation. Blake (Alec Baldwin) their boss turns John Williamson (Kevin Spacey) lose on them to turn up the heat to find out who stole the leads. As the tension rises, tempers flare and competition heats into a hellish nightmare.
